On this Bali Volkswagen Tour - Convertible Bali Tour you will step out of the tourist crowds and visit some of the islands lesser known attractions. Explore the central mountain ranges, coastal scenery and historic sites that have helped shape Bali's divine reputation.
Your tour begins at the ancient rock carving of Yeh Pulu, where you will take a short walk through the lush rice paddies. From here you will continue on to Gunung Kawi, a complex of pavilions and shrines carved into a hillside during the 11th century, also known as 'the Mountain of Poetry'.
After a short ride up-hill you will arrive at the Gunung Batur slopes, reaching the edge of a 12 km wide caldera revealing impressive panoramas of Bali's most active volcano, Mount Batur. Your Tour guide will happily explain more about volcanoes as you head into the lava fields. Continue on to Bali's north coast, stopping at charming villages, the Holy Springs of Sebatu and the temple of Dewi Danu along the way. You will close the day in Lovina, a sedated sealine town with volcanic beaches.
The second day of this Bali Volkswagen Tour - Convertible tour begins at Brama Arama Vihara, a beautiful Buddhist sanctuary. Take a short walk to the hot springs in the nearby village of Banjar where you will get a real taste of Balinese life. Heading further into the mountains in order to reach a rim of another large caldera revealing incredible views of two crater lakes.
The next stop is Bedugul's famous fruit and vegetable market, before continuing to drive south to Jatiluwih, where you will learn about the intricacies involved in rice cultivation and settle for the night amid a tranquil mountain resort. The final day of this Bali's tour takes you to Batukaru Temple, located in the rainforest on the slopes of Bali's second highest mountain. Continue to a special location where you will set off for a one hour trek along a stunning valley.
You will visit a traditional Balinese village compound before finishing the tour at the garden Temple of Taman Ayun in Mengwi. Built by a raja in the 18th century it is one of the most revered temples in Bali, with a symbolic layout of moats and islands.

Day 1 - Arrival - Mt Batur - Lovina (B,L)
This morning your driver will pick you up from your hotel and you will continue on to Yeh Pulu. Return to the car for a 30-minute drive to Gunung Kawi and then onto the slopes of Gunung Batur. Proceed onto Gunung Sari Restaurant which overlooks the Batur area. This afternoon, you will take a scenic drive through small villages on route to the Holy springs of Sebatu, stopping along the way to take photos. Take a short drive to Pura Batur, and visit the temple of Dewi Danu, the second most important temple of Bali. Descend upon coffee plantations and mountainous countryside before you arrive at Pura Beji temple. The tour ends today in Lovina. After check in, there will still be time to snorkel or swim.
Day 2 - Lovina - Munduk - Ulun Danu - Bedugul - Jatiluwih (B,L)
You have the option of rising at dawn to go dolphin spotting, returning in time for breakfast at the hotel. Take the scenic drive to Brama Arama Vihara, a Buddhist sanctuary before proceeding to the hot springs in the nearby village of Banjar. Drive back into the mountains before stopping at Munduk village where you will see the processing of Indonesian coffee and visit the clove plantations. Drive to the top of the mountain, arriving at rim of another large caldera with incredible views of two crater lakes: Buyan and Tamblingan. This afternoon, you will visit Bedugul's famous fruit and vegetable market before continuing to drive to Jatiluwih, where you will check into a tranquil mountain resort nestled just below the rainforest.

Day 3 - Jatiluwih - Batukaru - Mengwi - Tanah Lot - Departure (B,L)
Start the day with breakfast overlooking the rice fields at the resort before you drive to the Batukaru Temple. Continue to drive to a location from where you will embark on a one hour trek along a beautiful valley. After the trek, enjoy a local lunch and then continue on another hours drive to a traditional Balinese village compound. Here you will get to see how the people of Bali live, with the specific architecture and layout of a traditional village. Proceed to the beautiful garden Temple of Taman Ayun in Mengwi. Finish the tour with a visit to the sea temple of Tanah Lot.
Late this afternoon you will be dropped off at you selected South Bali beach resort or at the Denspasar airport for your onward flight.
